But, I'm Not Her.

by Belle DeJour   Jul 10, 2006

You're looking in my eyes,
Well, darling, tell me what you see.
Don't lie, I know you see her,
You're just looking right past me.

You're telling me you miss me.
Darling, is it really true?
When you tell me that you need me,
Are you talking to her too?

You're holding me in those warm hands,
I hate to have to share,
But I tknow that you're holding her as well,
And it truly is unfair.

But, I can see it now.
The truth behind the lies.
I can see how you don't love me.
I can see it all, like it's written in your eyes.

"Honey, I love you."
Do you love her or me?
And when you kiss me, with those gentle lips,
I wish you'd set me free.

When your hands wander my arms,
Giving me playful shivers,
I get lonely again because I know.
You're also hers.

Everything you say,
Has got my mind in a blur.
Choking back these painful tears,
Dalring, I know I am not her.
