Creature

by Wings Of Flames   Jul 11, 2006

Cats crawling up his arms,
Tattoos smudged to age,
A curling sneer across his face,
A sight left to plague,

Trust forgotten left to die,
I cannot breathe again,
Blood splattered on the sheet,
To wash away the rain,

Obscenely putrid dents,
This soul shall never mend,
Hands carved by Satan,
Hooked blades for he did lend,

Thus he is no act of God,
Sin forever more,
Tainting forgotten twists,
Cover the swelling sore,

Erase pasts abduction,
Forget the world has gone,
Your wrists are not a canvas,
And the pink is not the dawn,

It's blackening each to pass,
For the future holds no light,
Days push, For I pull,
Through every strand of white.

Very interesting poem. Nice use of words. In some spots, the rhythm is rough.

Wow, what graphic imagery! That was really good I liked the details you put into this. It was intense to read with every word. You really did create a 'Creature'.
