THE CRACK

by natalie   Jul 11, 2006

There is a crack in the ground
that the sunlight surrounds.
Its dying of thirst but even
worse it's dying of love.

The sunset comes and the sunset goes
with every new season the crack grows
and beneath it, it will soon show
the feeling that you wish would go.

I was not looking for you're approval,
just hand me the shovel and i will show you, you're crack goes deeper underground and its me my emotions
that surround.

I'm not scared of letting go
I'm just scared of what this
will truly show,
behind the curious smile of you're emotions that you're to afraid to show.

You're the crack in the relationship,
yeah you find it to hard to forgive
so you would rather live
with this crack that you cant shift.

You can run through it a thousand times but it wont stop revealing your lies and it wont erase the facts that you lack honesty.

Remember you're the crack in the ground dying of thirst,
it reveals you're worst.
seasons change yet you still remain,
no rain will come to water you.

But I'm going to walk over this crack
you can do the math.
I'm sick of your never ending lies,
your tears will water you tonight.

When the conversations twist
you will be the first to forgive
because deep down you want to live,
so water the crack!

But know this . . . . .
I will never take you back.
