Grandma's Sneaky Sandwiches

by Connie   Jul 11, 2006

When visiting my grandparents farm I remember
How my Grandma would make these sandwiches for us.
On homemade bread with homemade butter
Grandma would then put on a layer of brown sugar!

Since our Mom had already said no to the sandwich
Grandma would fix them, and then would say...
"Here kiddies, quickly take these outside to eat them"
So off we'd scramble to our usual hiding places.

As an adult I doubt I could even eat such a sandwich (can you imagine all that sugar)
As a child I remember them being oh sooo delicious.
Now that I've grown up, and I stop and think about it...
Mom always knew where we were hiding, and what we were eatin'!
