SITTING HERE THINKING

I am sitting here crying as I think of each embrace
I am trying to put a smile on my face.

I am sitting here thinking of the love we used to share
I am trying to remember how you used to care.

I am sitting here thinking of all the times I said I love you
I am trying to see that your love is still true.

I am sitting here so blue wanting to hold you
I am trying to believe we are not through.

I am sitting here thinking how much I need you
I am trying to remember when you would say I love you.

I am sitting here thinking of why you left me
I am trying to see was it you or was it me.

I am sitting here thinking of the promise that I made
I am trying to keep it till my very last day.
