I Surrender

by goddess-glamourpuss   Jul 11, 2006

Meeting you was a dream come true.
You made me feel special, wanted, desired.
To the ends of hte Earth I vowed to follow.
Pledged to be by your side forever.
Yet all of me I could not give.
Fear of judgement held me back.
To fully commit froze my marrow.
Obtaining your loyalty would be enough.
And so the storms came.
We weathered them and still stood.
Were knocked down and came back fighting.
Drifted apart but always came back.

I accept the inevitable with quiet grace.
Feel the turmoil still within my heart.
Seek solace in your presence.
So I surrender unto you.
Throw myself wholly, willingly, unreservedly
Onto the seord of your love.
Now and forever your willing captive.

To the ends of hte Earth I vowed to follow.
[I think you meant 'the' instead of 'hte']

I thought this poem was beautiful also. Such warming feelings in this. Very heartfelt indeed. I loved the last stanza. That left me in awe. Wonderful job. Keep it up! 5/5
