The racism of a little green monkey..

by BrokenSoul   Jul 12, 2006

Little green monkey,
Sitting in a tree..
I see you..
Your not like me..

Little green monkey..
Your different to the rest..
Your cute, it's true..
But the others think there the best..

Little green monkey,
They're all so mean..
You cry every night..
Your so unseen..

They throw things at you..
And call you names..
What did you do to them?..
Is it all just games?...

One day the other monkeys...
Picked on him so bad,
That now little monkey..
Was really mad..

He stood at a cliff..
He couldn't handle it anymore..
So now little monkey..
Lies there sprawled..

On the forest floor..

**This whole poem is based on racism and the ways that people drive people to kill themselves by bullying..**

That poem was excellent! I liked how you used the monkey to get your point across. Yeah, I agree with the rest that recism is very damaging and everyone should be able to get along no matter what you look like on the outside. 5/5 keep it up!

I know you wrote this a while ago....but I really like it. The green monkey was the metaphor, that was really creative, and the poem was so true about racism. Great Job!
