Correct me if i'm mistaken

Correct me if I'm mistaken
but i can't help but think it's not right
to so quickly let go of the things that you know
that you had at one time held tight

correct me if I'm mistaken
but I'm sure you once called me your own
you said i was the one but now we're undone
and I'm being left all alone

correct me if I'm mistaken
but i think you said it was forever
it doesn't seem fair you lied and don't care
these ties, i fear, must be severed

correct me if I'm mistaken
but your words sound a lot like lies
I've had my fill of your poison, it kills
and I'm done with your false alibis

correct me if I'm mistaken
but i think you even called it love
and i believed blindly because you said it so kindly
but now it's your lies I'm sick of

correct me if I'm mistaken
but it seems like this must be the end
it's time to move on if the feelings are gone
love is something you just can't pretend.

    ^ so true. I get this poem..I really do get it, and I think a lot of people can. I think a lot of people have been there. Have been crushed, hurt, broken- by a lie and a promise come undone because, I suppose, it was never actually real to begin with. It has a strong message and your words clearly mould the pain and sadness that I am sure you were feeling while writing this. The beuty of poetry is being able to express all that.

    I love this poem. its so good. u have so much talent. i wish i could write like htis. i like how the poem flows and the rhythm is great and so is hte word choice. keep on writing i will keep reading. great job... i have read ur quotes and i like those too. keep it up take care
