Last Goodbye

by blackheartinlove   Jul 13, 2006

Her grip on his hand was nearly invincible,
I could tell she didn't want him to go.
Her heart tore as a small tear rolled down her rosy cheek,
While she attempted to seduce him into never letting go.
She used the look she knew always melted his heart,
But, sadly, today it would not compromise his choice.
He starred back at her while she read his blank stare,
It was impossible for him to feel as upset as she,
And she was fully aware.
His tight hold on her petite body loosened,
She looked at him and without words, begged him to stay.
Her mind wandered while he watched her eyes swell with heartbroken tears,
She didn't know how she'd do without.
Her subtle seduction was no use as he promised his undying love to her,
She agreed and swore her own,
One last final embrace as she lost all thought,
One kiss she swore she'd never forget.
She watched his hand gently pry it's way through hers,
He pulled away, and his hand fell from hers,
Without missing a single fingertip,
He walked away slowly, as did she,
This was their last goodbye.

**I've had writters block for around seven months, first thing I've come up with since. Be kind.
