The Burning Truth

by blackblackheart   Jul 13, 2006

I lie as i fall asleep
as i dream of a life
with purposefully lives
where others affect
more then just quantity of souls
but quality of souls
beginning a new

And in the morning
I still lie awaking
where the sound of the birds
still haunt in my mind
they peck at my heart
where they eat at my soul
a now soulless body
where quantity is low
and quality, non-existent
and a heart longs for compassion
and a mind pleads for the truth

The burning truth lies
in the sleeping awareness
where the truth can be true
to only the royal
and the fire burns deeper
the a hatred can reach
and the tears fall so quickly
they cut as blades do
cuts as words do
as pains do
and as life still does
