Should Have Told Someone

by Jasmyn   Jul 14, 2006

She cowers under covers
his shadow is beneath the door
she knows whats going to happen
cant take it anymore
she knows she should have told someone
a counselor, a teacher, or a friend
but it had been a while
she thought that it would end.
the knob turns quietly
the door opens a crack
she wishes she had said something
she should have known he'd be back.
silent footsteps creep closer
entering her room
she's scared because she knows
has a premonition of doom.
he reaches down to touch her
climbs into her bed
gropes her under the covers
makes sure her legs are spread.
takes off her clothes
while she shuts her eyes tight
she knows it will only hurt worse
if she puts up a fight
she hears the sickening slide of his zipper
stiffens at his touch
repressed tears slide down her cheek
she hates him so much.
she tries to retreat inside her head
as he enters her in a single push
he says dirty things, calling her names
but gets no response and
it makes him furious.
he slaps her over and over
while driving in hard
he doesn't care how much it hurts her
how deeply she is scarred.
the lay there unresponsive
while he finishes his need
she didn't even have to check when he left
because she knew he made her bleed
she falls asleep crying
wishing she would have told someone
like she does after every night
when the act is over and done.

* if happens to you or someone you know or already has, tell someone. Dont let it continue.
