I Wouldn't Dare

by Marie   Jul 15, 2006

Look around in your own delusion
and keep pretending you understand this confusion.
No truth is remaining in what you're trying to say
Can't you see that verity's gonna get in your way?

Your world is crashing and you pretend not to see
because you can't handle, what's coming to be
So now you've left, but from what you don't know
as your concocted thoughts, are appearing to grow
Yet you keep running and feeling afraid
and the fear you've endured, just won't seem to fade

I found you like this, when I entered your mind
to see a difference, from the world that you find
The things that you felt for me weren't planned
and as fear filled your thoughts you said I don't understand

But it's really you, who can't get it right
I'm not a battle, that you need to fight
But you refuse to listen, and say I can only look down
When I'd do anything to not see you frown.

I don't want to watch you fall apart
even further than you have from the start
You just can't see, but it's so unfair
that when you look at me, you think I don't care

And so you continue running away
as you watch your life become so astray
And me and you are falling back down;
we've fallen all the way to the ground.

Why is it that you can't comprehend
that hurting you is not what I would intend
So please listen closely, and be aware
that harming you, is something I wouldn't dare
