What You May Not See

by Ashley   Jul 16, 2006

I see my desire in the distance.
But are you really what I seek?
I believe you're my everything,
Yet your vision of me is bleak.

So I had a thought,
To give you an idea of me.
To see if you're the one,
Before I give thine heart to thee.

I see good in most,
Yet I still sometimes hate.
Do you see me yet?
Could this possibly be fate?

I have my bad moods.
Sometimes they last awhile.
And a way to bring me back:
Find a simple way to make me smile.

After work, I'm really stressed.
It takes time for me to unwind.
Just let me talk it out,
And try your best to be kind.

I'm easy to get along with,
But some days I might yell.
It might have to go my way,
Because I'm stubborn as hell.

I will care for your needs too,
I'm not a complete b itch.
I'm no gold digger,
So you don't have to be rich.

Give me your personality,
Hopefully you're not a bore.
If you can't make me laugh,
I'll walk right out the door.

Wild imaginations I love.
And great smiles win my heart.
I'm not very intelligent,
So I'll need someone smart.

Also, I'm no cheater
And I will not stand for one.
If you cheat, or accuse me of such,
Hun, we would be done.

I would never talk bad about you.
I would be forever loyal to you.
I will try to always be what you need,
Along with being me too.

If you were ever to meet me,
You would see that I'm shy.
Mostly, I don't know what to say,
So if I'm quiet, that's why.

Hopefully, I didn't scare you away.
Maybe I'm what you're looking for.
And if I sound perfect for you,
I ask you, please do not ignore.
