Suffocating

by Alli Prater   Jul 16, 2006

The walls are closing in and I can't breathe
Because you love me and I'm suffocating
I'm gasping for air and the room is getting smaller
The water is up to my chest and only getting taller
This is the part where the claustrophobia kicks in
It wasn't always like this so where did it begin?
When I told you I loved you, just one little lie
Now the water has reached the top and is leaking inside
Searching for air, I inhale with a gasp
I treasure each breath because it may be my last
The walls have closed in and I have lost my breath
Your loving me has suffocated me to death
