My eyes

You look in my eyes
and see the sadness there
i try to smile but the feeling
never reaches them
my eyes are what tells you how i really feel
this depression in me controls them
it takes over as i grieve
it takes over making me spiral down further
making my eyes darker scaring you more
my eyes are a window into my suffering
can't you see that this depression is hurting me
i never asked to feel like this but i do so from now i have to ask when will i be happy again? when will i feel normal? when will i finally smile like you do?
