As I lay dressed in my best
You prepare to lay me to my rest
Everyone comes up and says goodbye
But you come up and ask me why
Before you walk away
I hear you say
What I\\\'ve always longed to hear
You whispered in my ear
3 simple words
That took so long to be heard
I love you
But now words cant do
What they would\\\'ve done
You should\\\'ve said it before this all begun
It would\\\'ve saved my life
Saved me from the knife
But now you\\\'re so far away
Nothing that you say
Can change the past
It all ended too fast
Now I\\\'m in the sky
And I can\\\'t tell you why
All I can do is watch over you
Wait for you
So one day
You won\\\'t be too far away
