Divorce

by anna   Jul 17, 2006

I opened the window
to freshen the room
and filter the smell of the dead

I was never the same
after that day
for LOVE flowed in instead

Oh how I dispised
love and the way
it turned me a pale green

It made me sick
and just the thought
put spiders in my spleen

And as my life
continued on
this LOVE made it all worse

Nothing good came
out of good
this love was a curse

my fingers shriveled on
the honeymoon and toes
when i was wed

my elbows cut in
childbirth as they did when
we're in bed.

when my kids grew up i
lost my sight and hair;
they're became less

I became old and tired.
it was almost my time
i guessed.

On beautiful day before
my end i opened the window
of course

Well i should have done
it earlier cause through
came divorce.
