The Hidden Girl

by Lost and Confused   Jul 18, 2006

All locked up inside.
Nothing ever comes out.
Keeping it all to myself.
Knowing what they'd say without a doubt.
Saying I'm being crazy.
That I'll do good in life.
No one believing I won't.
But leaving me alone to try to handle my strife.
They never know who I truely am.
They only see the girl I let them see.
The one hidden is dark and dangerous.
or disturbing and unpleasant, so I show them how they want me to be.
The girl hidden would never cry.
They would never see her fears.
Never showing her doubts or concerns for anything.
Never afraid to see herself, or look in a mirror.
This girl is very strong.
She has no weakness to bring her down.
Nothing to make her sad or blue.
Nothing to ever make her show joy or a frown.
But this girl is hidden,
Hidden in the dark, in a deep closet, alone.
This girl could do anything, dangerous or not,
But everyone is afraid, so we lock her away, never to be shown.
