Barrier

by kelsey   Jul 18, 2006

I am vacant inside.
My heart, my mind, my stomach, my body is just a casing full of empty.
I smile, with no inner emotion.
To others I am extrovert, but it is false.
I am alone in private and in public.
Silence is the enemy- the barrier.
The invisible concrete barrier I have worked so hard to create, locking everyone out, for my perfect isolation is too strong to remove.
Words are spoken, but they are muffled.
Craving comfort, acceptance, and warmth,
Or simply, someone to break the barrier and unlock me from this empty imprisonment.
