Regret This Gamble.

by christina marie   Jul 18, 2006

Can I take back that time?
Can I take back what I said?
Can I take back the words?
That repeat in my head?

I'm sorry for the things I did
I’m sorry for everything I said
I’m sorry for not always being there
I’m sorry; I just wish I were dead

I want to tell you how I'm feeling,
I want to share this heart with you.
I want to make those things I said go away.
I want to stay with you.

Let me show you that I'm sorry
Let me show you how I feel
I'll even jump in front of a bullet
Just to prove to you...it's real

I can feel your touch in my bed sheets
I can hear your voice in the dark
Regretting how things could've been
Never ceases to shatter this heart.

Thoughts of you become a common
Regression is just tearing me to shreds
I’m having nightmares when I sleep
Pills don't even stop the thoughts in my head

I'm becoming more restless
Each and every night.
My dreams are coming a repetition,
But death will win the fight.

The Nightmares all seem Dark
And it usually ends with a death
Waking up with Fast beating heart
The scary thoughts inside take my breath

Put your hand on the trigger.
This will be my last stand.
Kiss the bullet for good luck,
And grab a hold of my hand.

I’ll help you aim it to my heart
Something I wanted to give
But to show you my regression
I’m thinking I shouldn’t live

Saying sorry wasn't enough.
Maybe death will be more fitting.
Honey, take your gamble.
Cause right now, death is winning.
