Alone

by Andrew Dorsey   Jul 19, 2006

Sitting alone in the middle of my room, the walls closing in

I try to act like I'm ok, and show a happy grin

but nobody knows how I really feel

people think they know me, but its just all so unreal

so faint to me is the memory of yesterday

and on the other hand, tomorrow seems so far away

all I do is sit here, alone in the middle of my room

the walls are closing in on me, in the light of the moon

will somebody rescue me, from this engulfing darkness

nobody knos the real me, they all think I'm heartless

but inside this cold steel shell, is something longing to be free

I'm actually an ok guy, but nobody knows the real me

once you see the real me, it will all become clear

for inside my heart is nothing but sorrow and fear

I understand this piece, i can connect somtimes with how you feel..but how do u kno u know urself? Is who you think you are who you really are..or is it what others think of you that causes you to be who you know yourself to be, which would then make what they think of you who you really are.

Just to get you thinking. lol. Great poem bud. Keep writing.
