Bogeyman Fred

by goddess-glamourpuss   Jul 20, 2006

There's a bogeyman under the bed
Really there is his name is Fred
I've tried to show him to my mum
But from the corner he won't come.

I think he must be rather shy
If anyone saw him I think he'd cry.
I don't mind for in the end
He is my special secret friend.

On my bed he likes to sit
If mum saw him she'd have a fit!
He stays with me all through the night
Till the dawn brings bright sunlight.

I like my bogeyman he's really cheeky
But sometimes he can be quite sneaky
He likes to lurk behind the door
And throw my things upon the floor.

Mum says my room is always a mess
But Fred says he just can't care less
Bogeymen like to live that way
So in a mess my room must stay.

Sorry fred this just can't be
If mess, not you, is all mum sees
So come on Fred from under the bed
Hide yourself inside my head.

Hahaha, this reminded me of the film 'Drop Dead Fred.' I dunno if it was based loosely around it?
I liked this a lot, you have great talent for amusing poems.

Ah, I loved it. Very adorable. I remeber when the little girl I used to baby sat, was afraid of the Bogeyman.

I liked this poem because it's kinda like really little kid-ish
And little kids can relate lol.
It's just like a Dr. Suess poem or something lol.
    Good job.
