Romeo and juliet

by karen   Jul 21, 2006

(wrote this when i was 15)

two families
no better than the other
quarrel, none the less
never to be brought together

time will pass
only to have two enemies fall in love
filled with love for one another
their love flies like on gentle wings of doves

but once innocent hands are soiled and unclean
families wince to see their own dead and bleeding

love is kept secret but when let out
families are outraged
they are now put to the final test to see what love is all about

having been put to this test
slay themselves
they thought it for the best

in the end, love cannot be contained
blood is spilt
may lovers meet again
