Your Eyes

by Tina Carr AKA Snickers   Jul 22, 2006

When you told me
That you loved me
I swear I saw it in your eyes
So it was such a surprise
When I heard about that girl
The one who stole our world
The one who knocked me down
And shoved my face into the ground
I thought it wouldn't be so bad
But she took away what we had
And though you once said this would never end
Now you say that we're just friends
But I was the one who loved you first
I was there when you were at your worst
And now I must pretend to like other guys
But when I look into your eyes
Deep into the bluish-grays
Deep into your loving gaze
I remember better times
Better times when you were mine
Then I smile and pretend not to care
But I still hope the feeling is there
The feeling from back then
Before I had to pretend
Wheh you loved me so
I now see the truth though....
I wallow in self pity
Because you think she's pretty
Cause she's so much better than me
I cry harder now that I see
