Ode to the Moerae

by goddess-glamourpuss   Jul 22, 2006

Oh Atropos do I beseech
Please treat me kind and fair
For of the Moerae sisters
'Tis you that must play fair.

I beg thee sheathe thy scissors sharp
Just turn the other cheek
For to the other Fates
I beg these words to speak.

Clotho with thy spindle bare
Load only wool so plain
Please keep to colors drab
For I have much to gain.

Lachesis with loom ready
Weave a fabric steady and strong
Plain and straight would be just fine
More importantly quite long.

Dear sisters now a final plea
My fate thy hands do hold
For longevity is all I desire
My wish please do uphold.

The old english adds a mythical attraction to this well written mysterious dark poem

....it is a masterpiece in my opinion

Well...To tell you the truth, I really didn't understand most of it xD. Probably because of the way you used the text with all the "thy's" and...things lol. I'm not used to Shakespearish kind of poems. But good writing anyways! 4/5 Keep it up! xoxo
