A Perfect Disaster

by Phantasmagoria   Jul 23, 2006

The bride moved slowly down the aisle
the groom watches with a smile
her hair flowed in cascade
through a played-out serenade
candles burned away every tear
her love killed all fear
his eyes flickered through the night
such a lovely, beautiful sight
two hours later with their life still strong
she thinks here they both belong
but in that same desperate hour --
while she stood over the last flower--
a sudden pain shot through her spine
her blood poured out in a red line.

He pulled the blade and began to shake
unwilling to listen to the life he would take
her body fell unto the ground
screams echoing without sound
she turned around to look at him clearly
" how could this be the man I held so dearly?"
the groom plunged the knife into her side
and merely smiled as he murdered his bride.
