Take it back (summer time)

Imma take it back to how it used to be
When I rocked it out in my tank top and jeans
When nothing was wrong and it was all good
When the best phrase to use was "it's all good in da hood"

We were real cool in those big ass shades
Our jeans were blue but the knees began to fade
Double layered tank tops became the new fad
Everybody tried it out and it didn't look too bad

You and me used to rock out in the car
I knew all the songs way better then you by far
I'd crank up the music so we could jam
And then when we'd get bored we'd read our favorite book Green Eggs and Ham

And then as the sky would start gettin hazy
You and me would lay outside and just be lazy
We'd sit and watch as the sun would go down
It was always great to have a friend like you around

We used to hang and play on the playground
And play hide and seek until we got tired of being found
When we could swing on the swings
Act like little kids and pretend we had wings

And then all of the sudden you're back at school
With it being so hot you just wish you were in the pool
This ain't as fun as summer and that I can guarantee
So were gonna try it again and this is how its gonna be:
