Walking Out The Door

by ♥lovekilltheheart♥   Jul 24, 2006

As she lay there her emotions spilling on the floor,
She wondered how did I let it get this far?
Never the one to tell her hearts feelings,
Never the one to let others know her true meaning.

Lying there her heart broken and dying she asked,
Can you stay with me?
And he looked into her eyes
And walked out the door.
Bruised and broken she didn't even stir
She just lay there waiting for her turn.

She looked back into those memories,
Tears welling into her bold blue eyes.
Knowing that this would be her demise
That her true love had killed her from the very beginning.

He soon returned to her forlorn figure,
Dropping a box by her side.
She didn't have to look inside of it,
Because she knew it was everything she had given to him.

Lying there her heart broken and dying she asked,
Can you stay with me?
And he looked into her eyes
And walked out the door.
Bruised and broken she didn't even stir
She just lay there waiting for her turn.

As she lay there wondering to herself,
Can you really die of a broken heart?
Too afraid to even think about it she tries to get to her feet.
But as she stands her feet slip on the floor,
And with a resonating crack her head smacks into the door.

As she's lying there bleeding to death,
Her one true love is regretting his act.
So he drives back to her home,
Only to find it empty and cold.

Lying there his heart broken and dying he asked,
Cant you just stay with me?
And she looked into his eyes
And walked out the door.
So there he lay down beside her wondering how this could be,
He too soon walked out the door to see her waiting so forgivingly.
