Imperfect and unwonderful

by Sam   Jul 26, 2006

I\'m something unwonderful and something imperfect.
I have scars from mistakes covering my body.
I\'m imperfect.
I never speak up for myself.
I leave too many things unsaid.
I\'m a coward.
I\'m something unwonderful and something imperfect.
I\'m not pretty enough or good enough.
I\'m unwonderful.
I don\'t have the looks to get me through school.
I don\'t have enough talent to go anywhere.
I\'m just someone unwonderful.
I\'m just someone imperfect.

    Imperfect people are the ones who write poetry : ) I think it's because imperfection is the only way things can really be beautiful.

    "My mistress's eyes are nothing like the sun;
    Coral is far more red than her lip's red;
    If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun,
    If hair be wires, black wires grow on her head.
    I have seen roses damasked, red and white,
    But no such roses see I in her cheeks;
    In some perfumes there is more delight
    Than the breath with which my mistress reeks.
    I love to hear her speak, yet well I know,
    Music hath a far more pleasing sound;
    I grant I never saw a goddess go;
    My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground.
    And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare
    As any she belied with false compare."
