Once Upon A Time........

Once upon a time,
There was a happy girl.
She used to chant a cheerful rhyme,
And dance around so her skirt would twirl.
She used to laugh with a shine in her eyes,
And her smile would light up her friends day.
But one day she had to say her goodbyes,
This was because she was moving away.
She never cried about this,
And she kept the hurt inside.
But one month the sadness planted its kiss,
And for a while, her tears could no longer hide.
Her back started to hurt,
And she could hardly sleep.
She continually cried in the dirt,
And for her old home her heart would weep.
Every so often she would smile again,
Thinking the sadness had finally gone.
But back it came to cause her pain,
So her smile went away and the sadness won.
For a while she wanted to die,
But a very close friend helped her get over this.
All she could do was cry,
And she knew that if she died, there would be so much happiness sheâ??d miss.
She started to cut her wrists,
But she never wanted to do this.
She was so sick of life's twists,
But she knew if she died, sheâ??d be the one her friends would miss.
She started getting headaches everyday,
And some days the least she'd get was three.
She wished the tears would go away,
And she wished the sadness would let her be.
Once upon a time,
There was a happy girl.
She used to chant a cheerful rhyme,
And dance around so her skirt would twirl.
This girl is no longer smiling,
And she no longer chants that rhyme.
Instead of that smile, she is crying,
But luckily her sadness will go away in time.
