My Pretty mummy

I rest on your bed
watching you from my place
perched at the dressing table
as you powder your face

i clasp my pen as it rests on the paper
I'm examining everything you do
you look at me and giggle "darling whats the matter "
"oh mummy I'm just learning how to be as pretty as you "
