Standing On One's Two Feet

by Holly Nicole Williams   Jul 27, 2006

I am my own person
I am my own
No more searching
I know where I call home.

I am standing on my own two feet
No one is holding me up
Tis a pleasure to be
Something that is humble yet tough.

I will stand for something
I will not fall for everything
Being alone is better than being nothing
Taking a stand is a risk worth taking.

If the whole world turns against me
And I'm all by myself
I will soar up with eagle's wings
And fly into the sky with life's greater wealth.
