Caged in thy lovers heart

by the pale queen of the silent night   Jul 27, 2006

Never has he loved
says he, he is a free man
and free he will live
how can I free him
when in his hands I am caged
when in anguish and dread I live
pray, think not of yourself
I utter to thy self.
I, whom would give my soul and love to you.

In silence and tears
I pray to be freed
but
Oh, the bitter reality hits me
for I own no home
no freedom or shelter.
In your love I am freed
though I be caged for eternal
I in your heart call thy home and shelter.

I am forever lost
lost to you and your love
How I long yet detest
to be thy lover
how troubled and soothed I am
by your presences
the rhythm of your voice
to thy ear speaks of deception.
and th bitter truth
in your eyes I see
yet I wish it all o be a lie.

how I Long to be free
and fly in th wild blue sky
thus I own it not
yet is where i belong.

I pity not thy self or thy love
for in love I rejoice
the memory and longing
the bitterness and punishment.

I know not thee art
of flying no longer
the color of the sky
the beauty of nature
the music of the wood
and the lonely cry of the wind.
I, in this cage have forgotten
all that was dearest to me once.

In thy own ignorance and love
I looked up on to you
whom in his heart I was present
and refused to free me but
freedom to himself, he would own.
