Her own Contradiction

by Amanda   Jul 27, 2006

Her eyes are so sad
Her step had grown longer
She smiles a lot
But her presence is somber

She calls all the time
She's so far from home
She has good friends
but she's still all alone

She has someone to love
but can't love herself
She's her own contradiction
Her hearts on the shelf

She does all her drugs
and she sings all her songs
She knows she does good
and purposly does wrong

She misses her life
though not much has changed
It's all in her mind
So in her mind she takes blame
