Outward Inward

by Jessy   Jul 28, 2006

Prefect red painted nails,
Never telling the untold tales.

A smile that goes on for days,
Beneath is pain that always stays.

Laughing, talking to her friends,
Hoping secretly her broken soul mends.

Bracelets shine of gold and white,
Beneath are glimpses of her sad delight.

Shopping for new clothes to wear,
Silently searching for a knife to tear.

Helping other with a good deed,
Her wrist are hidden as they bleed

Days that seem so full of sun,
Nights she cuts, hoping her life is done.
