Beautiful Girl

by Mighty442   Jul 29, 2006

That beautiful girl in this big wide world
Sitting all alone, out there on her own
Talking on the phone, wishing she was home
He wonders if she's bored, she probably gets adored
He wishes he could make her smile, He wishes he could make her laugh
But nothing he says is worthwhile, nothing he does will pass
If she could only read his mind, know the words he could not find
Sing the songs he wants to say, paint the pictures he would portray
Coat the world in reds and golds, all for her to behold
But then reality sets in, feel a soft breeze against his skin
To remind him of where he stands, just a boy, not a man
So that beautiful girl, living in her own world
Is everything he's not, with everything he forgot
To afraid to look in her eyes, to afraid she'll see through his disguise
Never to risk the chance to meet, never to feel complete

I love this poem, 5/5. It's everything I feel in myself and can't express. Trapped inside for no one to hear but myself.
