My Friend and I

by Kayd   Jul 29, 2006

Through still times, my friend and I ride on. Into the stillness, through the trees, and into the still waters of the crystal abyss they called a lake.

Pathetic it was, round as a square and shallow as the sea!
So hence fourth we rode on, to control these new shadows!
Twas a shame how they fell!

Easily as we came, we were halted by one thing.
Family bids ado to us all. We were now captured between two things, stuck as a push pin in pure steel.
One way to freedom, one way to hell.
Between the two we had nothing.

And so we awaited, one moment of reckoning!
Then alas!
The sky's cleared our way!
To the left we turned, away from our roots,
the only thing left to aid us.
