You Can't Live Without Your Heart

by Margo Tarr   Jul 30, 2006

There is something that I want,
But it's impossible to gain.
It kills me on the inside,
I'm about to go insane.

The owner repeatedly turns me down,
I just can't figure out why,
Does he know the pain I go through,
When all I do is cry.

How can i make him see,
That I'm on the verge of breaking
No letting me have it,
He has no idea what he's taking.

Like taking someones heart,
Denying them to be alive.
Taking the main and only part,
Thats needed to survive.

I've been trying & trying,
And I think I've done my best.
Though still nothing,
Until It's mine I will not rest.

Well now he knows his importance,
And the value it has to me.
Will it change his mind,
I'll have to wait and see.

Not much hope,
Cause I've seen the owners wall,
It was built big and strong,
With no intent to fall.

I'm up against something,
Created not to break.
Still my heart keeps me trying,
I wonder what it will take.

Now the owner understands a lil' better,
But still won't change his mind.
I hope his wall now has a chip,
Or scratch of any kind.

I'm now stuck,
With nothing left to do.
I can't have what I want,
Although Ive been 100 % true.

So maybe thats how it's supposed to be,
I hope that's not the case,
I want this more than anything,
Nothing could ever take its place.

Who knew a 5 letter word
Could mean so much,
As much as a persons heart.
The most important peice to the puzzle
TRUST is a necessary part.

I dunno what to say. I am lost for words. This poem was awesome, so perect, it was a reasonable length, the flow was good, the rhyming was okay, and it was lovely. keep writing, you have talent
