Nothing To Hide

by Phoebe   Jul 30, 2006

Her eyes remained a gentle blue,
and the wires that grow from her head,
Were blackened by the secret pain,
And inside her soul is dead.

Her pale cheeks, with no hint of rose,
and her skin, too soft to touch,
Is rained upon with tears that tell,
A story of hate and love.

Her lips are full but lonely,
without her true loves kiss,
She feels she'll never see the light of day,
When there's nothing left to miss.

Her fragile heart is breaking,
from waiting alone everyday,
But there is no one quite like her,
As long as she's strong she'll be OK.

So much beauty, shown not on the outside,
But it shines so brightly inside,
Walk along, proud, let them stare,
She has nothing left to hide.
