What does Humanity claim?

by Go Away Rain.   Jul 30, 2006

There's an angel on the ground,
holding her head under water,
someone has drowned.
So I called 911,
for answers to their questions,
but they didn't have any,
They couldn't see,
I guess it was just another tragedy,
And people swore they saw her walk,
Right out of the morgue,
And I hated to ask,
What they were all looking for,
Some salvation in this mystery,
Some salvation before she becomes,
Just another part of history,
I bet that she struggled,
Gasping for air,
And left her body,
Lying there.
For someone else to deal with,
Isn't it predictable,
They say it was only a myth,
And now it's our disaster,
That we must claim,
Otherwise the angels,
Will point their finger and blame,
It couldn't have been her,
Who fell,
Someone must have tripped her,
But who will tell?
Our witnesses are in denial,
The victim lost,
But someone has to,
Pay this cost.
So we charge humanity,
For something with no name,
It must be ourselves who humanity blames.
