Daddy

by Danielle   Jul 30, 2006

I remember when i was young, you seemed so big.
Looking up into your green eyes, i felt like you were 10 feet tall.
You came into my life when i was five years old, and i wasn't really up for the idea, but it didn't take long for me to figure out that you were the best Dad a girl could ever want.
You were my stepdad, but to me, you were my dad.
I always tried to tell you how much you meant to me.
Daddy, you were my hero.
Without you and Mommy, I wouldn't have ever made it.
You were the best parents anyone could ever want.
I have so many memories of both of you.
I knew you would always be there for me.
When I was 4, I lost my dad, even though I loved him, you were the one that I loved with all my heart.
That love has never died and never will.
I always knew you loved me Daddy.
You are everything to me, and if I had one wish, I would make your world as perfect as you made mine.
Everyday I thank God above for putting you in my life.
Some people have role models, like sports stars and movie stars, but God blessed me with you.
You're my role model, my superstar, the best man and my daddy.
I love you!

This is really good. my dad just passed away 8 months ago. when i was 5 my parents divorced llegally. but they seperated on my 4th birthday. anways... my mom met a man when i was 5 and he eventually became my step dad. this poem made me cry. because it made me see, that in the loss of my father, i have one of the greatest men alive there for me everyday.
