FALLEN ANGEL

by Brandi Owens   Jul 30, 2006

She's An Angel With Coat Hanger Wings
Rusting In The Rain As Tears Slide Down Her Chin
He Held In His Hand Her Stitched Up Heart
But He Never Did See What Was Within

Tears Disappearing
In The Puddles Of Rain
She's Trying So Hard
To Let Go Of All Her Pain

A Painted On Face
And A Smile That's Fake
In Her Eyes
She Is Just A Mistake

She Bites Her Tongue
Burying Her Emotions Deep Inside
She Wants To Curl Up
And Just Hide

Her Halo Has Fallen
On The Ground It Lies
The Never Ending Tears
Flow From Her Bright Eyes

She Tries To Hold
All The Pain And Anger Back
And In Her Case
Self Control Isn't Of Lack

He Walks Away
With A Smile On His Face
Leaving The Fallen Angel
With Memories She Can't Erase
