Step back to reality

I'm on the outside looking in
And wondering what could have been.
This place is so cold and empty
I'm wondering if we were ever meant to be.
Why is it that you can't recognize me?
Am I a dream or a memory?
Why is it that you can't see me?
Was I forgotten that easily?
I wish I could have what i once thought was real
But I guess its time to step back to reality.
