Perfect Dreams

by Brittany   Jul 31, 2006

A broken angel on shreaded wings, beneath the shadows of perfect dreams.
A living nightmare haunting him, beneath the shadows of perfect dreams.
The monsters that chase him eternally, beneath the shadows of perfect dreams.
Cowering in a corner to hide his fears, beneath the shadows of perfect dreams.

Tears and mud caking his cheeks, beneath the shadows of perfect dreams.
Muttering endlessly to himself, beneath the shadows of perfect dreams.
The only one sane in his horrible world, beneath the shadows of perfect dreams.
'Why me?' he asks quietly, beneath the shadows of perfect dreams.

Mocked by the light forever it seems, beneath the shadows of perfect dreams.
Holding his hopes by a thin string, beneath the shadows of perfect dreams.
Breaking free of his make-believe, beneath the shadows of perfect dreams,
And coming back to reality.
