If you could do what I want you to
You wouldn't be the person you are
It's painful, watching from a distance
Unable to say or do anything
But I love watching you
Go about your life
Doing simple things like
Talking to your friends
It's not so bad being in my shoes
I have my bad days but mostly
I cant stop thinking about how in love I am
And to me that's all that matters
Not that I can't have you (sometimes!)
But the thought of that someday I may
That puts a smile on my face that lasts eternity
So for now I sit, watch, and wait
Your in control of this rollercoaster
Because I know in the long run
It will all be worth it when it happens
