Want To Go Home

She wants to go home,
Go back to that place she once knew,
To be happy again,
To know who she is.

She looks at photos of herself,
Back when she was young,
She can't help but cry,
And wish she could be her.

She wants to warn her of the future,
Of how alone she'll end up,
How unhappy she'll become,
To save her from her fate.

She wishes she could visit that place,
Remember all those happy times,
Back when things were simple,
The best days of her life.

The house is empty now,
Cold and dank,
Broken windows and scarred walls,
All that remains of that happy place.
