Enough

by livefreebright   Aug 1, 2006

If what they say is true then why do I still feel this way
Like I'm never good enough, or at least not for me
When I'm just dying for approval, just to know what it's worth
Will I ever live up to the way I want to be

When looking on the bright side is getting old
And the corners of my writings are beginning to fold
When the best doesn't cut it with the thickest blade
The feelings of hope begin to dim and fade

Just keep me hanging on to that single threaded dream
And hope all goes well with my plan and my Scheme
With a pen in hand and a thought in mind
Help me get this out and then leave it behind
Make it my best and hope for the rest
That all will go smooth just so I can prove
Prove to myself that it was worth the wait
Prove to you all that maybe this is fate

Get it right in the end just be patient with time
Perfect every comma, each and every rhyme
Through it all it could fall
Through it all it could shine
Take the good with the bad and get myself in line
When looking on the bright side wasn't part of the deal
All those writings are starting to appeal.

Dark yet with a bit of brightness, just the way I like it. Some quite nice rhymes too. Keep up the good work.
