That was then this is now, im better off that way

I once thought this life was nothing but a test, i once thought my life was just like the rest.
i once thought of dieing and if you would care, i once thought of jumping maybe id just float in the air.
I once thought you loved me more than life itself, i once thought you cared about me more than you cared about yourself.

but that was then...

now i know my life is here for me to live as a gift from above, now i know that every step i take is me learning to live and grow as a dove

i never think of dieing and i don't think about if you would care, and i know if i ever slipped off the ledge by accident god will always be there.

i now know you didn't really love me you just loved the body i live in it was just a phase, now i realize i don't really care if you don't love me because all i need is me to love me anyways.
