My Life

by Jer   Aug 1, 2006

This is my life and this is what I live for, If I had it any other way I wouldn't ask for more.
I hear them behind me and it drives me insane, This is what I signed up for so I can't complain.
It gets hard on the body walking these plain sands, Days go by when I get annoyed from taking his commands.
We're trained to kill with no time to spare, Sometimes I think about taking someones life and if it's really fair.
We've been here for almost a year, And every night I still fall asleep trembling in fear.
You don't know what it's like to watch a friend on his last breath, I was with him every moment until he passed to his death.
I lay in bed writing my last piece to you, I pray every night I'll be able to pull through.
My lovely wife and my adorable children don't ever forget how much you all meant to me, Cause these are my last words you'll ever see.
