****I wrote this one for my boyfriend WHo of course is in the Army because I get questioned alot even by him as to why I'm still with him when I am constantly watching him leave, and then I realized its because I love him and am going to spend the rest of my life with him****

People ask me why I'm still with you
And as I think up a reply
I start thinking to myself
And it makes ME wonder why?
It seems to cause me so much heartbreak
When I have to watch you leave
Wondering what you'll be doing
And if you'll think of me
You have left me so many times
But its not something I get used to
Going from together every day
To never being with you
Some nights I have nightmares
Constantly Praying you come home safe to me
Some nights I can't sleep
And I stay up crying until at least three
Wondering when I'll see you next
Waiting for the next call or letter
It seems to get harder everyday
When I thought that it would get better
Then it hits me
And I understand
I do it because I love you
Because you are my man
I do it cause you need someone
To stick by your side
I promised you I'd do it
So I'll do it all my life
I do it because this is your dream
And I support you each step of the way
And this has changed you from a boy
